30-Day Rod Test Drive
We here at Allen Fly Fishing started out as a reel company, and that's how most people know us. We don't think it's a bad thing that we're known primarily for our reels, but we're working on new and exciting ways to get our rods in the hands of anglers so they can start knowing us for our excellent rod series as well! Plus, for those of you that already have an Allen rod, this could give you a chance to try a different line weight or a different rod series!
One such program is our brand-new 30-DAY ROD TEST DRIVE. We know that since we don't have our rods in dealers yet, that it's difficult to try our rods outside of borrowing them from your friends or trying them at shows. We don't expect you to commit to a fly rod that you haven't handled.
Think of this like the wiggle test on steroids: if you have your eyes on one of our rods, pay for it and we'll send it to you. You've got 30 days. Cast it. Scrutinize it. Most importantly (and you might not believe this): FISH IT. If you love it, you just got your new favorite rod. If you want to try something else, send it back, and we'll credit your Allen store account and send you the next one. I know what you're thinking: what if I break it? Turns out we've got a solid warranty too: just pay the repair rate ($45 for most of our rods) and you don't HAVE to keep it if you don't want to. And remember this: if you don't need the test/fishing period, and you just want to give the rod a cast or ten, leave the plastic on the cork when we send you the rod. Cast the rod with your line (or lines) of choice, and if it doesn't suit your preference, get it back to us within 10 days for a full refund. Just make sure it's in the same shape you received it in.
We're not forcing you to like our rods, but you probably will. Whether it's a 7'6" 3wt Heritage for trout in tiny mountain streams or a 9' 12wt Volant for tarpon somewhere salty and sunny, we've got the rod for you, and now we've got the way for you to try it before you buy it!
To summarize:
1) Pick a rod and buy it.
2) Try it.
3) If you love it, you've got yourself a new rod! If you don't love it, mail it back to us within 30 days.
4) When we receive the rod back, we will issue store credit for the rod to your Allen Fly Fishing account.
5) Pick out a new rod and use your store credit to buy it.
