I've purchased thousands of hooks through Allen and most times I'm satisfied, with both the price and quality. These were no exception. Come to think of it, I just order another run on this hooks. They're solid construction holds up well to multiple strikes from trout. Never once have I had them break or straighten out during a fight with a fish.

I bought these last season and they are the best hooks for the tail section of my wiggle nymphs. I do cut the hook for the tail to prevent foul hookups.

These are top quality hooks. For the quality, price, and free shipping there is definitely no reason to go anywhere else for hooks.

I have labeled compartments for all my hooks and as I dropped in the hooks with the few remaining TMC hooks, the appearance is identical. Strength, sharpness, etc. are all impossible to detect any difference. The price is most helpful as I tie more than 2 dozen a day typically. Being midge time, I have tied well over 100 midges on these and looking forward to putting them in the water on dropper rigs.

The hooks are great. I've been tying flies for awhile and I've tried numerous hooks. Allen hooks are the best I've used. Strengthen of the hook withstood a smallmouth bass and largemouth bass without any problems. Price point is shocking at first because you think the product would be poor, but reality is the product doesn't suffer one bite.

This hook is as advertised. The price is more than fair for a hook of this quality and sharpness. Great job Allen.
