    D202

although slightly counter-intuitive since it is listed as a dry fly hook, this is an excellent carp fly hook in size 6. I also ordered the size 4 in this model hook, and for some reason it is quite different, with a black finish instead of bronze and does not appear to be as strong. stick with the #6 if you are tying carp flies.

    Cicada Time hook

The D202 is a great cicada hook. It's very strong, has a great gape, and is true-to-size. The best part is the price. Super value!!

Great hook for sunfish and small bass flies

Published by Doug Bomeisler on 5th May 2015

I use this hook for a lot of my light freshwater fly fishing in Florida. This includes small bass, various sunfish and exotic species like Mayan cichlids and Tilapia. It is a light wire hook so it is not suitable for large fish or if you need to apply a lot of pressure to a fish to keep it out of structure. These hooks will bend but they don't break. The light wire penetrates very well.

    Allen Fly Hooks.

Published by Chuck Haroutunian on 20th Jul 2014

The best hooks that I have ever tied on. I have purchased many of the Allen fly hooks in the past and will continue to do so. The guys are great to work with as I buy in quantity. I will certainly continue to buy and use their hooks..
