Fantastic hook
I use these hooks for Caddis and Midge dry flies. I have even used them for nymphs. They are strong.

Love this dry fly hook.
People complain about the shank length, comparable to the Dai Riki 305, an old favorite. Love this for beetles, but many other patterns. Stout but not heavy.

first time and hooked
This was the first time I used the D101 dry fly hook but I love the bass hooks and nymph hooks, so I thought I'd give this a shot. I went up to Michigan to fish the Hex hatch at night and We did a lot of fly tying during the day. We also fished smaller stuff during the day so I needed a smaller dry fly hook. Enter the D101. I used these to tie up ISO's and brown drakes. They are a very strong yet light and floatable hook. They were very sharp and the geometry is perfect. I don't fish a lot or tie a lot of dries back home but when I do I will certainly come back to these as they have performed excellent.

quality hooks
These hooks are sharp and the metal strength is comparable with the premium names of hooks. I have tied various types of dry flies with them and they with worked will during tying and when fishing
