Smooth casting and makes supple long casts as well. My Icon 2 rod didn't like it as it wouldn't load the rod without lots of effort. Works fine in the Azimuth for sure. Will be hitting a favorite trout river this weekend in New Zealand.
I recently purchased this line in addition to an Omega 2 reel and an Icon2 rod in 6 wt. This line does not match the rod. It takes way too much effort to cast this line with this rod, and does not load it properly. It does work better however, on my 6 wt. Azmuth rod with a Trout2 reel. I really like the Icon2 rod and Omega2 reel but this line works poorly on this combination. I wound up putting some Scientific Anglers Amplitude line on the Icon2 and now it casts like a dream. I really like the Azmuth rod and Trout2 reel combination as well.
I got the 8 weight floating line and it is the best line of its type I have ever used. Quite superb.
