Icon Series Weight Forward Floating Fly Line

I was very pleased with the icon fly line. I put it on my azimuth 10 ft 4 wt. I really tend to role cast a lot. It rolled out beautifully, I had a furled leader on it and all and all I finally found the perfect setup. This fly line is awesome in my opinion. soft and gentle. No memory in it.

This has to be the best fly line I have ever purchased. Smooth and extremely easy to cast. I will be buying this again. Great products at Allen Fly Fishing...telling all my trout fishing buddies to go here for all their needs!

I got this line spooled on a source reel on a 5 wt. Alluvian rod. This line is so smooth and casts very well. I am definitely impressed by the way it casts and feels.

Today I used my Icon 6 wt line on my 5/6 6"3' loop rod and caught 4 carp, one was the largest I've caught to date. I also made the longest presentation and hook up that I've made to a carp so far. It was fair windy conditions, but the line worked well. This line is a nice middle priced line and a good value.

I got the Icon in 3 wt and 5 wt. Great lines and accent the Heritage series rods very well.

I got the 8 wt line spooled into an alpha 3 reel. Line is very supple and loads a fast action rod perfectly. I did not expect such a nice feeling and casting line for the price I paid. Only issue was that the colors are different than what they look like in the picture. The head is more of a pale green, with about a foot of yellow at the very end

I paired the Icon 3wt line with a 3wt Redington CT rod, and it is a perfect match. The line is extremely supple and casts like a dream. The line is slick and can easily throw 40-50 feet of line accurately with my medium action CT with no effort. This line is easily in the same category of other lines around the $75-$100 range. The customer service was great and personal as well. I highly recommend this line and will continue to purchase additional fly fishing products from Allen.
