before this. I have yet to rec'v anything from Allen that isn't top of the
line. I am very pleased with all items rec'd, to the point that I have told
a lot of my fishing friends that I don't see how you can be beat!!!
This hook has become my go to hook for my zebra midges. These hooks are super Sharp so there is almost no effort in setting the hook. All of the hooks in the pack were perfect, I have gotten a few packs of the "name brand" lately and the eyes were out of alignment and not closed completely. I will be stocking up on Allen hooks in the near future.
These hooks are the bees knees. Never had a problem landing a big fish on these puppies, besides when I spill my beer inside of my waders. From saltwater behemoths in the keys to football shaped trout on the mighty UPPER C, any and every ALLEN hook will take it on. Never going to spend another dollar on expensive a$$ hooks if the same style is available through ALLEN. WEll done fellas, now time to test your rods on clients!
Simply put, these hooks are awesome. They are identical to the Tiemco 2457 caddis hook at half the price. I use these in the #6 mainly for tying carp flies and have withstood the runs of many large carp and buffalo. Perhaps the best part of these flies is that out of the box, they are stupid sharp. No need to sharpen them, but be careful when you're tying. Buy these, you won't regret it.
I probably tie a thousand flies a year and have purchased all of my hooks from Allen Fly Fishing since first discovering their products and have never been disappointed with the quality. And, I will continue to purchase all my hooks from them because of their service, quality and fast shipping.
