N304 - Shrimp, Caddis, Scud Hook

Great multi purpose hook. Not one has bent or broken after 5 days of fishing the newly tied flies.

I have been buying Allen hooks for a couple years and their quality has always been well ablove there price and the N304 is no different. This is a great hook for nymphs and midges. Very similar to the TMC2488 but for 1/3 the price! The only complaint I have ever had with any Allen hook is size range, specifically on the smaller end, it always seems that they stop one or two sizes larger than I would like them too.... I.e. I want a hook in 18,20, and 22 but they only offer that style down to 20. I will say that over the years their size selection has been getting better. I look forward to continued expansion.

I love these hooks. I've used them mostly to tie Crystal Meth patterns for steelhead and they have performed great. I've never had an issue with Allen hooks and they have become my go to hook.

This hook is a good hook at a reasonable price (compared to other brands). Will continue to buy hooks from Allen

Haven't fish with these yet but they are sharp. If they perform as well as other allen hooks they should be great. I just wish the eyes were a little bigger.

I just tied some small emergers with this hook. I haven't fished them yet but if their like my other allen hooks they should do the job. My only complaint as with all allen hooks is that I wish the eyes were bigger, especially for us older fly guys.

Very sharp and nice hook. Love tying scuds and caddis larvae with a bead head on these hooks. Haven't fished them yet but this spring and next fall should be fun.

I just spent 16 days steelhead fishing with these in the arsenal.. Fished nymph and egg patterns tied on this hook- never bent, broke or became dull. A great hook for tying large amounts of flies necessary when "digging up" pressured steelhead.
