Product Description
The Source Fly Rod series is designed not only to help brand new casters develop effective casting skills, but also to help experienced casters have a more enjoyable time on the water. Rather than artificially concealing errors, the deeper flex of the Source series helps anglers pinpoint the load of the rod, no matter the line type or fly pattern. It maintains plenty of backbone for a full range of applications and species without feeling like a broomstick. Let this rod series lead you to the Source!

Source Rod Review
I am a happy customer 4 times over and happy with the service I received

Allen Source 5 wt.
Great bend in the rod, softer tip, with a strong back bone. It bends nicely, and the bend in the rod is what makes the cast. I would recommend a 5 wt line for soft presentations as not to spook the fish, and 6 wt line when fishing in the wind and weather, or bass.

Source rod #8
I was able to enjoy the BOGO and brought the two rods up to Maine for river and stream fishing for landlocked salmon and smallmouth bass. Rod performed well...for me anyway as I am new to flycasting. I was able to parlay /barter the 2nd rod into some time on the water with a Maine Guide whom was impressed with the rod but not so much my casting ability but IT did improve thanks to the help as the guide was using same rod and fly as myself both catching some late summer fish

Great step up
Got a Allen source in 5wt and 8wt and love the action. Great step up rod from my bottom of the barrel rod I got to see how much I would like life on the fly. Definitely notice a difference using this rod. If I could go back in time I would have spent the little extra on the 5wt for the Heritage rod.

Source Rod Review
I own both the 5 and 8 wt in these rod series, and I have to say, I'm impressed. When I got them, I found them to be pretty soft and wouldn't handle windy conditions very well, or so I thought anyway. I have to say though, I was pleasantly surprised. They cast really well, and load up super smooth. The rod tubes they come with are a smart invention. They dont have a rod sock, just individual slots for individual pieces. This makes for a very convenient and fast setup and takedown. All though I have quite a few fly rods, these are my first choice. They are affordable, good quality and cover a wide range of requirements. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good, affordable, and good looking rod.
