Great reel, sounds great, feels great, looks great

I bought this reel for my 5wt rod. The balance point on the rod is perfect. I have landed a few fish and the large arbor makes getting on the reel a breeze. I like the green color and it goes well with my rod (which is a dark blue).

    Trout II

More than gets the job done for less than half of a cool kid's reel price. That's why I own two. Plus the purple reel is dope and has snagged the attention of a few females at the park too. Don't worry I released them after some handling too.

    great reel

I'm Brandon and I bought this reel for trout and grayling. I've had the chance to bring this reel out pair with the moon shine drifter, and it was one of the best reels I've used. As i pulled in trout the drag was smooth and the line retriev was fast. The reel is durable and holds a pretty good amount of line. My 4 weight reel so far has impressed me.

This reel is my go to for a 6wt line for warmwater and light saltwater fishing (seatrout and baby snook). the price point is great. I have recently given one as a gift. Very sturdy and reliable, as always for Allen

    Allen impresses

3rd Allen reel and all have not disappointed. New reel had 22" Bow on third cast that tested the drag. (Purple reel - so it's her review as I won't let my buddies see me use it) She was happy, so I'm happy! Will continue to get Allen reels for salt and freshwater as probably best bang for buck on the market.

All around great reel. I have caught 12 to 28 inches and the drag holds. Nice light weight reel with larger spool. I have given several to family and friends.

Allen Fly Reels are the best

Published by Paul on 19th Sep 2017

As a long time guide in Colorado, I have used a lot of different reels. There are many good reels on the market, but when you look at price, mechanics and reliability Allen is now my go to reel. I am super impressed with Allen Trout and Kracken reels. I now have 8 Allen reels and I just love them. My other guide buddies that I fish with always comment on how nice the Allen reels are.

Another Allen Reel, Another Happy Camper!

Published by Rhonda on 18th Sep 2017

This is my third Allen reel, and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and craftsmanship. Nobody shops more than I do--seriously, that is true--and I can say that beyond all the hype/brands/selection, Allen reels stand out as an amazing quality product, made right here in the USA and at unbeatable pricing.

I've got an Allen on a G. Loomis 4wt, Orvis H2 5wt and a Sage 8wt...all three perform beautifully on each rod and accomplish exactly what I need--smooth operation, never a glitch, looks amazing.

    Top notch work!
