Great multipurpose hook!
I'm impressed by the quality of these heavy wire hooks. I've been tying up some carp flies, streamers, and crayfish patterns... and I can promise you these hooks are very sharp. High quality with a great price. Allen Fly Fishing has definitely earned my repeat business once again.

Anti-Straighten, Super Sharp
Great hook super thick, it may not ever straighten on a fish and really sharp! I use it to tie the rear articulated portion of the sex dungeon streamer.

SUPER
If you can bend this hook on a carp,I would sure like to see it! Super strong and sharp. I have caught numerous fish in the 30" range with no complaints.

Heavy, sharp hook
Bought the hooks for tying baitfish patterns E.P. Style. The are a heavy hook with a sharp point. They advertise them as a "Carp" hook, but forget that. They can be used for any species, styles that suit it. So far I've used the size ones for freshwater & have taken a fair amount of Bass, Pike even a few trout. This hook isn't backing down & it's held up to quite a few fish. Touch up the point with a file/sharpener after a few fish & it's good to go. If it holds up in saltwater this winter I'll have to upgrade to 5 stars & buy plenty more. The price is great and service, delivery is fine.

Tough, sharp
Beast of a hook for it's size. Seriously tough hook. One morning I was consistently bending 1/0 VMC and Black Magic salt water hooks, switched to these in #2 and #4, and no more bent hooks or lost fish. I tie small surf candies on them. Great hook and one I'll add to my list of "must haves".
