A good hook and very sharp but it appears not to be suited to nymph patterns (Stonefly in my case) if you are mounting a bead. I could only get a 4.6mm Tungsten bead around the bend on a few of the hooks. The beads are Allen too and went on other Allen hooks (S402BL) no problem and yes I did crush the barb. I'm going to use them for hoppers later which is what is written on the package. The S402BL is a nice hook , just wish it had the bend this one does.

N202 size 16
tied a size 16 chironomid pattern,caught several 5 lb.fish.The hook was starting to straighten out,but the length & shape worked well.I gave it a 4 for this reason,but will order more.The price was right.
