Product Description
The Heritage Series is the reward from years of development to blend a classic trout rod action with modern refinements. The mid flex has been fine-tuned to perfectly suit the modern angler. Cast small dries and nymphs with delicate presentation, protect fine tippet when the riser you were stalking turns out to be the pool boss, and discover its reserve power when more demanding casting situations arise. Presentation is king with the Heritage series, but the other aspects haven't taken the back seat. Flex and recovery pair perfectly with excellent balance. The American tradition of fly fishing for trout is alive and well with the Heritage Rod Series.

Heritage Rod 5wt
Use this rod on my last Trout fishing trip of the season. Wished i had it at the beginning of the season. Worked so well, that at the end of the day I believed I found my new favorite.

Great Product at a Great Price
I just purchased the Heritage 3 wt to go along with the 5 wt already purchased. Due to Covid and other life stuff I haven't even been able to fish that one yet - but that will happen this weekend. Balance and workmanship on both are superior. Getting a Compass 8 wt on the BOGO was an incredible bonus that forced me to hit the "buy now" button!

Heritage 4wt
So far I really like this rod. I’ve caught about 25 fish so far and I have found myself naturally grabbing it off the rack for small to medium sized rivers. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The only beef I have is that I received it with a broken rod tube. That takes nothing away from how this great rod fishes.

Great rod
This is the coolest rod. It recovers nicely and casts like a dream. I just love the root beer color as well. A great rod for the money

8’6” 4 wt Heritage rod
I’m new to fly fishing but I really like this rod. Very easy casting and great control that is helping me improve on the water (small streams in southeastern PA and the driftless region in WI/MN) I’m confident that this rod will make me a better fisherman (but to be honest, it would be hard for me to be much worse). Thanks Allen for an awesome product that I hope to grow into someday.

5wt Heritage Rod
I bought a brand new 5wt Heritage rod to use on a recent Yellowstone fly fishing trip. I thought I would use it as a backup, but I used it Day 1 and it became, and has become, my primary rod. I thought it was going to be a faster action rod than I was used to, but the feel was so much better than I ever expected. The way it loaded and threw the line was so effortless that I was able to make more precise casts than in the past. I was fishing a run on the same stream as last year and couldn't get my fly in the way I wanted. This year the cast went precisely where needed and I connected with an 18-inch Yellowstone Cutthroat. My casting skills had not improved that much, so I'm giving a lot of credit to how the rod helped refine my presentation. Thank you!

A good medium action rod
This is a good rod. This rod fits right in the middle of my rod arsenal ( I have the 6 wt model), and I use it as a do-it-all rod when I will be fishing streamers, nymphs, and dry flies in one outing. Honestly this rod is a jack of all trades and master of none. Where I think this rod is most at home is fishing medium sized nymphs and dry flies without added weight on the leader. I have used it successfully to catch picky trout on tiny dries, big bass on weighted streamers, and panfish and carp on big dragonfly nymphs. It has handled everything I have used it for reasonably well. Overall I'm happy with this rod and enjoy fishing it. My one gripe is that the cork on my rod is mediocre quality (lots of fill-ins and pot holes), even for a rod in this price range.

Decent
Great rod that performs well. I was delighted with the product but it took over two months to ship. It also has some minor imperfections which were no big deal to the structure of the rod besides a large glob of glue hardened on one of the guides. Also the Allen fly fishing logo wasn’t printed on correctly and neither was the rod weight and length. This is very sad and unexpected on a 200 dollar rod.
