These are the strongest hooks that I have used and have a gape that is perfect for foam hopper fly tying.

    Hooks are sharp and strong.

I fish 2 to 3 days a week, all year long. So far I've never had a hook break. Can't say that about other brands.

    Great soft hackle hook.

I wrote a review comparing this hook to the TMC 3761, it is not, hope the reviewers catch that. I like this hook for soft hackles and my no hackle elk hair caddis, it is not to heavy for that fly. Allen's hooks are up with the best in my opinion.

Love the similarity to the TMC 3761, my all time favorite. However these are just as well made , and the price is great. Wonderful PT hook.

    Wonderful hooks

Published by Peter Rea on 13th May 2017

All Allen hooks I have used have been superior. We (Dallas Flyfishers) use only Allen hooks in all our tying classes in local high schools and colleges,.
We have never had a hook failure.

I have them but haven't tied with them yet. Will use them for my tungsten bead head bluegill flies I tie.
